BBQ will always be pricey but this place is cheaper than any joint I every been too. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with just the right smoky kick, and the ribs were absolutely incredible—fall-off-the-bone good. Honestly, it’s the kind of BBQ that makes you stop mid-bite and just say, “wow.” The sides deserve a shoutout too—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Pair all that with the friendly service and the easygoing Texas atmosphere, and it’s hard not to leave smiling (and full). Doesn't have a lot of the wider choices in other BBQ spots but if you are looking for a quick bite at a good price this is a great spot. They have weekly deals and also do Bingo every Thursday. Has a decent amount of indoor seating and some outside under the HEB rooftop as well. ”

And True Texas Bbq at HEB on 242 does a good job. Like I said, not great but a solid brisket.... and when considering the price. It comes close to great. The ribs are good, but ribs are easy. The ribs were to expensive but good. If you are looking for the best Texas BBQ you may want to look elsewhere. But if you want a solid classic Texas BBQ experience that won't break the bank and is close to home.... then True Texas BBQ at HEB on 242 is definitely worth giving a go. ”
